The sweet smell of autumn is back. Watch — and help stir — apple butter bubbling in copper kettles over an open fire, tuck into a hot ox-roast sandwich, and spend a crisp fall day on the historic Village grounds.
Fall's sweetest tradition is back
For generations, the second weekend of October has meant one thing in Geauga County: the aroma of apples simmering over a wood fire. Our apple butter makers work the copper kettles from morning to evening — and they're always glad to hand you the paddle for a turn at the stirring.
The Ox Roast is back, too. Pull up to a hot sandwich, grab a jar of fresh apple butter to take home, and let the kids loose on a weekend made for family.
