Light Up the Night Balloon Festival

The Geauga County Historical Society is excited to host the annual Light Up the Night Balloon Festival! Join us at Century Village Museum for two evenings of unforgettable fun, live entertainment, historic experiences, delicious food, and breathtaking hot air balloons. This much-anticipated annual celebration offers an impressive array of activities designed to delight attendees of all ages. Visitors can stroll through the Century Village Museum historical houses. Savor the delights from a diverse array of food vendors offering a selection of delectable dishes that will tantalize your taste buds. The best part is to access this grounds is free with small donation contribution.

• Historic Century Village Tours: Explore the charming 19th-century homes and buildings, stepping back in time with guided access to history.
• Food Vendors Galore: Indulge in a wide selection of tasty treats, savory meals, and sweet festival favorites.
• RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon Rides: Tethered Balloon Rides!
• Balloon Glow at Dusk: As night falls, lively music by DJ Steve M. Savanyu of Buford T. Hedgehog Productions.
• Blacksmith Shop (Saturday): Live demonstrations of traditional craftsmanship in our working blacksmith shop.

• Beer Garden & Wine Vineyard: Sip and savor local beer and wine flights, with a variety of regional selections to enjoy under the evening sky.

🎈 For Kids

• Bubbles Everywhere: Giant shimmering bubbles floating through the festival grounds.
• Barrel Train Rides: Fun rides for kids aboard a miniature train through Century Village.
• Balloon Artist: Watch as vibrant balloon creations come to life.
• Corn Sandbox: Dig, build, and explore in a giant sandbox filled with corn kernels.
• Bouncy Houses: Safe, colorful inflatable fun for endless jumping and laughter.

🏆 Competitions – Horseshoe & Cornhole

• Amish vs. Yankees Challenge: A spirited head-to-head contest between two communities.

  • 🥇 1st Place – $200
  • 🥈 2nd Place – $100
  • 🥉 3rd Place – $50
• Each contest winners will be announced on each day (Friday night and Saturday night)
